The Health Promoting School Committee are also continuing on with their work. Food Dudes is ongoing in the classrooms and after a very successful Phase 1 where fruit and veg was delivered to the school, the children are continuing with Phase 2 where they bring in their own fruit and veg. Quite a number of gold, silver and bronze certs have already been given out and a special delivery of fruit and veg is due on February 10th from the Food Dudes themselves!
The committee have also launched a new ‘Quiet Area’ in the yard where children who wish to have a little quiet time can go during break time. This was one of the requests from the children in the initial HPS Survey. Mr Doyle has added a nice picture if Mr Quiet and Henry has marked the area clearly with paint and spruced up the seat. The committee also bring out cushions so as well as quietness, there is a bit of comfort!
